8Teens Allowing topic moderators to set a flag on their topics to completely disallow duplicate shares sounds like a good approach. Finding a way to prohibit duplicate content from being posted anywhere to the site will be something done at a higher, more global, level.

8Teens @TudorBold 1 week or 1 month is fine for re-shares on original posts. The timeframe should be controllable via topic settings and able to be set by topic administrators/moderators.
