Today, the pandemic has slowed my pursue of further education. I struggle with anxiety, depression, C-PTSD, and chronic pain. The environment of the last two years has only intensified the barriers between myself and a doctorate degree in pediatric psychiatry.
We all move through life at our own speed. I don't feel the rush to continue my education. I can be a student at any age but only have this opportunity to nourish, recharge, and better myself right now. You cannot pour from an empty cup and mine needs to be filled as if it were fragile.
Thankfully, I've found another way to create beyond painting and support myself outside of day jobs.
