Beaux Arden in topic Moderation
Hey Mods, just dropping in with a bit some tips on how you can improve your curated topics, as well as reach out to more members of the community.
First, make sure your topics have a Description and a set of Rules in place. For desktop, you have the "Edit" buttons on both sides of the feed. For mobile, you can set these from the two separate tabs, About and Rules, respectively (see attached image). Without these, you won't be able to remove posts from the topic.
Second, set up a Banner (or Cover image). Choose something eye-catching or representative for the topic. This will help it stand out of the crowd and it will make it look much nicer. You can change this at any by selecting the Camera image in the corner of the current Banner (also shows in the other pic i attached).
Lastly, interact with your communities! You're all sharing the same kinks, so you all have common interests. If a member posts something you really like, let them know. Comment on it, send them a few tips or even hit them up in Chat and tell them how awesome it is. Create bonds with your community and this will, in turn, give you a much bigger reach on the website, through the other communities they might be part of.
On this same note, if a member doesn't post relevant content, be sure to let them know about it. Sharesome is different from any social media site out there (at least that is what we think). Let them know why brunettes shouldn't be posted in Blondes, for example. Yeah, they're still hot, but it's not what the community wants to see.
You guys play a crucial role in the Sharesome's day-to-day activity, being the final judges for whether a post should or shouldn't be present in a topic. Just deleting or blocking someone from posting will not solve the problem, or might create confusion and resentment between communities. We want everyone to enjoy themselves here.
Hope this helps you out in any way. Some of you might think they are no-brainers, but other might not have looked at things in this way.
Cheers, Beaux.
