Here is another pinup from nearly 30 years ago, that I've cleaned up and colored.

What's fun about working on these pieces from nearly 30 years ago is that the pressure is really off while I'm working.

Every time that I create a new piece, the construction phase really makes me sweat. "Construction" is mostly doing the layouts and pencils for a piece, and it's where everything follows. I really struggle to get everything right in the construction phase, which means that it's not as fun for me as it might be for other artists.

I just know that if I blow it in the construction phase that it's going to haunt me for the rest of the piece.

But, in this case, the construction phase is all over. Hell, the inking is done too. So while I'm playing around with this thing it's just pure joy. If what I'm doing doesn't work, then there's the orignal piece that still exists. No harm.

Instead though, while I'm doing things like completely re-inking her hair, or cleaning up the background, or removing the excessive rendering I originally did on her body, it's just a blast.

One thing I really changed was how long her hair is. I just felt like I mixed up her hair and the strands from the cat of nine tails too much. They still intersect, but it's much more clear where one ends and the other begins.

My new comic coloring style really moved this piece along quickly and I'm very pleased with the final results.
