For all my current followers, and my old Tumblr friends:
I'm not sure where I am going to end up. At the moment, I am "stress testing" 4 different platforms. Trying to figure out which one best suits what I want in a "Tumblr alternative". Those are: 1) here, obviously; 2) bdsmlr (don't let the name fool you. the content is MUCH more than just bdsm stuff, and it feels like Tumblr back when I joined in 2012); 3) blogr.xxx (this one has me kind of baffled. The interface, in terms of running your blog, is "clunky" (not as bad as "humblr" on Mastodon, though) but the Tumblr import tool is AWESOME!!!!); AND 4) pillowfort ... pillowfort has GREAT potential, but, because it's in "beta" at the moment, and the way they are doing it, it's all about building the platform. The content isn't really there.
All four have great strengths. Of the four, THIS is the friendliest place.
