This is what I meant when I said, all those years ago, that romantic love isn’t the only way to love and support Black women. You don’t have to be in a relationship with a Black Woman to not be terrible to us and there’s plenty of Black men who are in relationships with black women and hate our guts. He’s prioritizing dynamic and creative roles for Black actors in ways others aren’t.
I can ABSOLUTELY be pro-Black and love universally… ABSOLUTELY. I will hear no simpleton say otherwise.
