This is the second try on this piece and the path has been instructional.



I was blown away with the old Hollywood look of Anya Taylor-Joy on the Golden Globes on Sunday. Concurrently, I've been wanting to learn how to paint better and I had a few ideas.



I don't want to get too much into what I did the first time, but it was a disaster. I was just trying to do too much at the same time and it was a mess!



I took a step back, did a little research and re-thought the process. This time I did the entire piece in black and white, and it turned out much more cohesive and powerful.



My next step is to color it, but I'm not sure when that will happen. I'll share it when I do!
