Creating Rules
A question which is often asked is how to create good rules for your sub.
The first thing to do is question, question, question.
Subs, if a Dom is setting you a big list of rules that aren’t personalised to you, which they haven’t discussed with you, then they are likely quite inexperienced no matter what they tell you.
So, what to ask? I occasionally bore new subs by asking questions which seem a bit inane but they are more important than they seem. Here is the list I usually try to work through:
Prior experience: This of course is one of the most informative things you can ask, but one inexperienced doms struggle coming to terms with. I most commonly ask both what they enjoyed the most and least about any previous rules which were set.
Next I ask about living situation. Who do they live with, do they have a lot of free time or privacy? Do they have hobbies or responsibilities which I have to account for? This also gives me a good idea of what timings I should set their rules for. Do they have a lot of time in the morning, or are they usually rushed?
With these things in mind, I then ask them about their fetishes. Are there any they never got to explore, or ones they just really love. Is there a fetish that the two of you share which you can take further together?
I then work with my new sub to find a goal or purpose for their training. Something for them to work towards. It could be anything, from exploring a new fetish, to simply deepening their obedience or training their asshole to take bigger toys.
Finally I bring everything I have learned together along with my own fetishes to create each rule. Each rule should be agreed upon between all parties involved, and the purpose behind each one should be clearly understood by everyone. If she is calling you Sir, why did you choose that title over another. What does it mean to each of you? What do you gain from it? What does she?
Some common areas I focus on are:
Speech (titles, swear words, greetings)
Clothing (displaying, restrictions, requirements)
Updates (keeping me informed of her plans for the day)
Masturbation (restrictions or requirements)
Fetish specifics
